Sun Goddess

This card was made for the Crafty Calendar challenge this month where the theme is Keeping Warm, and the optional extra is texture. I thought I'd go for a different slant on this idea and also use some nice sunny colours.

I think my beach babe (from See D's) qualifies for the keeping warm theme. I used some whitewash coredinations which I embossed in a CB circles folder and then sandpapered, ribbons and a flip-flop button were also used for texture. The backing papers are by Crafters Companion and My Mind's Eye.

I don't know about you, but as pretty as the snow is, I'm getting a bit fed up with it now. My mum keeps saying that it's nowhere near as bad as 1947 and the schools didn't close then.
Ah yes, but then that was before 'Elf and Safety' when they allowed kids to go out and play in it and fall over,
.................don't get me started!

Keep warm!

  1. This is really lovely. I've got that stamp set too and must give it an airing again soon.
Thanks so much for all those lovely comments-they mean such a lot to me.
Hope you've had a lovely weekend. It's actually a bit warmer here today although not enough to melt the snow. The promised snow hasn't come either which is probably because I bought some snow boots yesterday!!!

  2. Fantastic! Just what we need to melt away the winter blues.
Love the texture you have added and of course it looks perfect using co-ordinations. such a lovely 'beach' feel.
I'm with you on 'not getting started' regards Elf'n'Safety..... what is the world coming to?
