I've been absent from blogland for a couple of weeks, have been busy with one thing and another and seemed to have run out of inspiration. However, I have had lots of requests for Valentines cards from the blokes at work recently, so am back crafting with a vengeance. This one fits the bill over at Tuesday Taggers where they want to see bears this week, and there is a prize from The Craft Barn.
I don't usually do cute cards as they are not really 'me', but they are very popular and I hope they will go down well at work. This one is not very elaborate as I have quite a few to make in a short space of time.
I used a Forever Friends stamp and coloured the image with water colour pencils. I cut it out using a circular nestie and matted it onto some red mirriboard. The heart backing paper is also Forever Friends and I inked it around the edges with a red inkpad. The strip across the middle is also red mirriboard and was punched with my Martha Stewart doily punch. Lastly I made some floral embellishments using punched red card and mirriboard, with gem/pearl centres.
Thank you for looking and for all your kind words.
