Finding Time

.....for crafting this week has not been easy, even though I've had some time off work. I have been busy with domesticity, cutting lawns and hedge, digging allotment, washing curtains and I still have stuff on my 'To Do' list! Managed to find a couple of hours though last night after 'Strictly' for my entry to Clean & Simple FTL 110.
Here is the sketch.......

and my interpretation.............

It has got to that time of year again when I have to photograph inside! Although it has finally stopped raining, it has been blowing a gale, so unfortunately I can't get an outside shot (which in my opinion are better than my inside efforts!) At least this post is not as time consuming as my last, - I have reverted to 'old Blogger' by changing my settings. I think I will only be able to do this temporarily before they change it for good, lets hope Blogger make some improvements in the new system before then!

Enough waffle and on to my card. I used the relief method to make the centre panel by stamping my Hero Arts leafy branch with Versamark and then heat embossing it with white EP. Faded Jeans Distress Ink was applied with cut'n'dry, and I defined the side panels with faux stitching and a never-used stamp I found in my stash by See D's. The sentiment came from Paula Pascual (who else?) and the final touch was a white fabric covered button which I coloured with the distress ink.

Bye for now and thanks for all the lovely remarks about my last cards.

  3. Gorgeous card here Fiona. Just love the colours and the stamped papers you've made.
Sounds like your week has been a bit like mine as I'm in the middle of a big sort out and Autumn rather than Spring clean now my 2 girls are at uni.
Managed to start on my Christmas cards yesterday though and am about to do more whilst watching the X Factor (and probably shouting at the TV!!!

  4. Hi Fiona! A gorgeous card and I love your card for Clean and Simple. The resist technique looks wonderful, gorgeous colours and stamps too. Sounds like you've been busy and I hope you've a bit of time to relax on your week off as well. I'm also hating having to photograph inside again, the cards never seem to look the same when they're done indoors. OK, speak to you soon and have a good week. Chris x

  7. Hi Fiona
Sorry it's been a while since I've popped by. I've missed some wonderful work. Love the gap card and the beautifully simple Christmas cards you've made. The little Joy bauble is a lovely idea. Hope all is well with you and you're managing to find some special moments in time
