SHADES of BLUE.
I don't think I'm firing on all cylinders creatively at the moment and not very happy with this effort. It had to be made in somewhat of a hurry as although I have been off for the last two days I have been out for both of them and am back to work this afternoon.. Yesterday I was at the Art Stamps Exhibition at Newbury, you'd have thought I'd have picked up some inspiration there wouldn't you, so many gorgeous creations to gaze at.Anyway, here is my feeble effort this week.
Not my greatest photography moment either but had to be guided by the sun, and although the dark blue mat doesn't look even on all sides which is caused by shadows, it really has been cut accurately, honest!
The happy birthday definition stamp is by Hero Arts and is quite a new acquisition, I think the butterfly die is by Sissix but not entirely sure. The butterfly is vellum and embossed in an embossing folder. I used a blue brad in the centre and some ric-rac I found in my stash which was the perfect colour match.
Thanks for looking, must dash, got to get ready for work now.

Great Idea to put the sentiment on a blue background. The ric-rac complements the edge of the butterfly wings (which the shadow throws up or I may not have noticed.
ReplyDeleteNothing feeble about it. Fab card. x
