Light Me Up Put Me On Top

I'm still madly churning out xmas cards and thought I'd use the theme on this week's LIM challenge which is All In A Row for this latest one.  I'm a bit pressed for time today as I went for a 5 mile bike ride this morning and I need to get my head down shortly before I go in for my 12hr night shiftWhat I'm trying to say is, that this card won't win any prizes and in hindsight I wish I'd added some 'sky' but thought I'd blog it anywayThe inspiration behind it was Nan's brooch which usually makes an appearance at this time of year.

I used two Elusive Image Christmas tree stamps, sponged a 'snowy' landscape and added faux gems for the baubles, I tried gems on all trees but it just looked de trop.  The sentiment came from a Hero Arts set.

Nan's brooch

It's been bloody freezing recently and I felt so sorry for these poor ducks that I saw the other day.

I haven't put up my Christmas tree or any decorations yet, I usually wait until about a week before.  What do you do ?

Ahh, I LOVE your nan's brooch, I hope you wear it a lot at this time of year because it's a real beauty. It's a lovely inspiration for your very pretty card, the trees and the baubles are gorgeous.
I resist putting our tree up till later in the month, I can't understand people who want to get all the decs up on Dec. 1st! Mind you, the kids are moaning at me so the tree may be in situ earlier than my personal preference, but I am prepared to compromise a little... Just a little!
Hope you don't feel too knackered on your night shift. xxxxx

I love your nan's brooch too and it's inspired a beautiful card. I like the stylised look and don't think it needs anything else. Those poor ducks - surely it can't be much fun, but I suppose we don't know how ducks feel! I'm afraid my tree went up today and it's all my fault - the children would've been quite happy to wait! Like your Xmas cards. My tree and decs are still in the loft, but will probably go up towards the end of this week, I expect. Don't like it all up too far in advance, as I get bored with it!

Great row of trees, nice to decorate the centre one and leave the others plain. Glorious brooch.
