Scavenger Hunt - August

I'm a few days late uploading my August photo's as the last shots were only taken a few minutes ago!  Inspiration for some of the subjects came late this month but I enjoy taking part in this great photo challenge and hope you like my interpretations. Pop over to Greenthumb's blog to view some fabulous entries.

Brown

Ten

(I nearly caused a major security incident taking this picture at my local dump!  Men on walky-talkies sprang into action to try to prevent me from taking it but I gave them some old flannel and got my pic.)

Petrol Station

My friend Limbo at his petrol station.  This man works here from dawn till noon then does a nine hour
shift at the airport.  When does he sleep?

Keep out of this murky old pond!

  1. What great pictures - the gorgeous updo, Limbo - the man who never sleeps and picturing you sweet talking the men from the council are especially fun! Have a lovely break! xxx

  4. So many great photos it's hard to choose a favourite but I really like sharp, framed and boats. Scavenger hunting is fraught with danger - I was escorted off a multi-storey car park trying to take a photo for rooftops a couple of months ago! x

  5. I always like to see your interpretation of the prompts, Fiona, and this collection of pics doesn't disappoint. Love those church windows, the barbed wire, and your ideas for "framed" and "fantasy" are brilliant. And don't you look elegant with your chignon and chopsticks?
So - when DOES Limbo sleep?
PS. Great card in your last post - trying to catch up! xxxxx

  7. Still laughing at the thought of you taking on the men from the dump - bet they were quaking in their boots!

  8. I like the look of your insomniac friend, and you from behind looking like a flamenco dancer. I wonder if they thought you were on an international espionage mission? Photography rubbish for the enemy! Funny.

  12. Why would they not let you take a pic at the dump?! How mad... did they think you were spying for a rival dump or something... ?
