Prudy Cat

Very sadly last week I had to say goodbye to my beloved Prue. After her ill health earlier this year she rallied for a while, but for the last fortnight she'd been eating very little and on Wednesday I could see her breathing was laboured.  At the vet's she was pronounced a 'very poorly cat' and so there was only one possible thing I could do.  She came home for the final time and is now in her resting place at the bottom of the garden. She was almost sixteen years old and therefore had had a good life but nevertheless I still felt wretched. The house feels so lonely without her, especially at bedtime, when she bounded onto my bed before settling down. And first thing in the morning there is now no one to accompany me to the loo or race me down the stairs.

She was a dear little cat, so very affectionate. Indeed, she was the best of cats.
 I will miss her terribly.

From all I've read she obviously had a lovely, long and full life, and the best of company. Hugs xxx

  4. It is hard to say good bye to a much loved pet. I would say she had a pretty good life with you and knew she was loved. Take care.

  7. Oh Fiona, I am so sorry.
Prudy was such a pretty girl and you couldn't have loved her or done more for her but having to say that final goodbye is just awful.
When you feel sad just look at that gorgeous picture of her luxuriating on top of the chair and remember that she had 16 years of being queen of the house.
    Loads of love. xxxxx

  11. Oh Fiona, I am really, really sorry to hear that. As a fellow cat lover, I know exactly how it feels to lose a beloved feline friend, the house just isn't the same without a cat in it. I sobbed bitterly when my old cats died.
But what a lovely life Prudy had with you, and what a gorgeous photo with which to remember her.
It's too early just yet, I'm sure, but I can't help thinking you will want another cat in your life at some stage. xxx

  22. Fiona

We have had several telephone conversations I was so sad to hear this news having met Prue she was such a loving lovely little cat who loved lying by the fire, in the sunshine and being close to her Mum and no words I can say will take the pain away that you are feeling at the moment but you know you and Prue are in my thoughts. She is close by in her resting place in the garden, and being looked after now by your dear Mum.

    Lots love hugs suexxx
