Scavenger Hunt September

There were some challenging subjects again this month but I hope you enjoy my interpretations... some were from the archives and others taken last weekend when I visited France for the last time this year.

 Shut

We arrived at this Vendéen seaside town at lunchtime... when most shops in France close.

Copper(s)

Taken a few years ago on a day out in the big smoke

 Wrist

My aunt bought this wacky watch from a market stall in St Gilles Croix de Vie as a gift for her daughter and obligingly modelled it for me for the purposes of this photo.

 Quarter

Breakfast

 It starts with a C ...

....more food, this time crepes in a lovely beachside restaurant at Bretignolles sur Mer.
I chose banana, my aunt ordered marronière...a heavenly chestnut purée.

 Foam

I don't know what's come over me lately, earlier this month it was my legs and now it's my  torso....I think that's enough naked flesh for one month. year.

Loving this Sanctuary Shower Foam that I received for my birthday.

 Scarf

Some of my scarf collection hanging on the inside of my wardrobe door

 Line

Tickets please.  Taken at East Grinstead station

 Nostalgic

My favourite radio station when across the channel, evoking memories from 1970's camping holidays.

 My own choice

Ambling back to the car park via the marina at St Gilles, before finding a seafront restaurant which served the most humongous moules frites lunch.

Head on over to I live I love I laugh for more Scavengers snaps.

  2. Your last trip to France for this year? Surely not!!
Loved these photos, Fiona. Salivating over that juicy slice of melon and those crepes. Your vintage scarf collection is gorgeous and oh la la to that saucy torso shot. Looking every inch the chic chick posing by those yachts in your Breton stripes.
That watch is so cool, I keep scrolling back to look at it.
I'd forgotten all about that Sanctuary range of toiletries, I often used to use my Boots points to treat myself. xxx

  6. Another fab choice of photos, Fi. I loved your collection of scarves and the food was delicious looking. The last photo of you looking so chic in your very French looking outfit is lovely. I can feel the sunshine!

    The watch is fabulous.

I'm currently using some Sanctuary body butter - it's so gorgeous and I feel very pampered when I use it.

What a shame it will be your last visit to France but don't worry there's always next year!

  8. Aren't those crepes looking delicious? You've made me hungry now! My favourite photos are the ones of the London coppers and the one of you posing by the marina, fittingly dressed in breton stripes! What a shame it was your last visit to France this year, though! xxx

    1. They tasted delicious as well Ann. The 'Breton' stripes came from Tesco and were thrown into the suitcase last minute in case we had decent weather...and we did! xxx

  11. I like the way you challenge yourself to come up with original interpretations. I especially like the closed sign, it seems to me very civilized to close your business for a meal and a rest.

  13. Great pics & I'm on catchup as we are away at the moment. Wrist watches seem to be a common theme with most of us for that word, but love your rendition of 'copper', which is something hubby thought of, but I decided against. Thanks & take care.
