From The Dew Soaked Hedge Creeps A Crawly Caterpillar

Autumn has definitely arrived.  This week I've had the fire on, had a hot water bottle and I'm thinking about a new pair of boots and a coatOver at CAS-ual Friday they are also in an autumnal mood for this week's challenge.

My effort was made using the SU Autumn Days set which I believe is about to be withdrawn.  The picture was taken first thing this morning in the garden so apologies for the shadows.   I'm also linking this to Stamptacular Sunday for their Less Is More challenge

If autumn only did bring crawly caterpillars I wouldn't mind but it also delivers an abundance of scary bastard spiders with monumental proportions which, in this household comes with much loud shrieking!  This one was found loitering with intent in my bath!

Aaaaargh!!!!

I've a few days off now and I'm planning to go to a Vintage Fair at Epsom racecourse tomorrow (weather permitting) which I'm looking forward to.  Before that, I've got oodles of housework to get through, so had better shoot.

Enjoy your weekend girls.

  1. Don't know about autumn we had frost on the shed roof this morning and had to give in and put the heating on!

Your card is just brilliant, love the colours and the gorgeous stamp.

Had some of them cheeky spiders try and move in with us but fortunately the cat plays and then kills them so we usually find them dead. Did get one the other day though that even she wouldn't go near! Xx

  2. Just love this card hun, so simple, but oh so stylish! Autumn is my fave time of year, the crisp mornings, the mellow days, the cozy evenings, bliss. Now, as I said to a friend - it's only a spider - it's not gonna light a fire, heat water in a big pot, dance wildly and wave a spear at you ..... or is it .... (wink) Hugs Sxx

  4. Beautiful card, Fiona, such great colours.
Well that spider is rather impressive, as is your pic if him/her, look at those hairy legs. Bit like mine (I've let myself go, blame it on being ill...) I don't suppose our Antipodean friends will think that's much of a specimen though!
Love The Kinks. Hope you are having a good weekend. xxxx

  5. Ew, I nearly shrieked at that spider!!! I have dreadful arachniphobia!Curtise is right that it doesn't quite match some of the Australian horrors, but nevertheless, it has 8 legs and I don;t like it at all!Ha!

The Kinks ROCK, and I've always had a thing for Dave's sexy gap teeth!

  6. I read your post yesterday and was so horrified by that spider I actually closed down my computer and went away. I feel physically sick, it's taken all my strength to revisit you today! xxx

  7. How have I missed your posts?

I had a spider run across the bed on Saturday morning! I was staying at my friend's in Surrey!

Luckily spiders don't bother me as this one was so big its legs were hairier than mine!
