Foliage

Saturday means Less Is More day and for the challenge this week the girls have provided a sketch for us to follow.

I masked my card and used Distress Inks in Old Paper and Milled Lavender for the sponged background.  The foliage image which I stamped several times, is a new purchase by Hobby Art and was stamped in Spanish Moss Versafine, the sentiment from Penny Black was stamped in Imperial Purple, also Versafine.

I'm really enjoying my 'carding' at the moment and after tonight's night shift have eight days off when I'm hoping to do lots more.

I never got around to chazzing last week as just as I was about to go out it started to snow again so I gave it a miss.  As the sun has made an appearance today I'm hoping we've seen the last of the snow and I'll be able to bargain hunt in the week.
Must get on, I've got an apple crumble to make now, ttfn.

  8. This is a beautiful piece of sponging Fiona and lovely colours too. I love the way you come off the night shift and morph in Fiona, Domestic Goddess! Do you use cinnamon in your apple crumble? Highly recommended! Vicky x

  9. I can't make any intelligent comment on your technique, Fiona, I know nowt! But your cards always look very professional and stylish to me - I would buy them, and that's praise indeed coming from a cheapskate like me!
I am over this snow now so I am hoping it thaws rapidly and the slush disappears.
8 days off sounds great - get making, get chazzing, get slow cooking (with our without dumplings!) and boozing, and have a fabulous week! xxxxx

  13. It's gorgeous and I really like that colour combo you've come up with. You really do make flat CAS cards look amazing!!!

Enjoy your days off, well earned rest and a bit of chazzing can't be bad. I'm hunting through all our local chazzers, not just the major ones and still no luck for a dictionary so I'm going to broaden my horizons and go a bit further afield. Hope you find some bargains. xxx
