The weather was damp and dismal all weekend which was such a pity as Linz has a stunning view of The Needles from her seafront home, but really what did I expect in January ?? We went out for a mooch about in Lymington where I very excitedly found a pair of felt slippers, (so hard to find, but nothing else will keep my feet warm) sad, I know! We also had a massive roast dinner in the High St. pub, and over the road I saw my first gold 'Olympic' post box which honours Ben Ainslie who lives in Lymington. I didn't realise at the time that it was not a genuine one!
Therefore I am extending the draw until next week, so for a chance to win please leave a comment expressing interest.
I've been in the mood for crafting this afternoon and came up with a card for the current challenges over at CASe This Sketch,
I used a Lily of the Valley image (purchased at the NEC two years ago, which had never seen ink) stamped in Vintage Sepia Versafine and coloured with watercolour pencils. I'm not really keen on these 'cutesy' images which require colouring as I am rubbish at it generally, but unusually was fairly satisfied with this effort until I noticed after positioning my sentiment (SU) that I'd got a smudge on the top right corner ! Bloody typical eh, but fortunately I found some co-ordinating ribbon to disguise my cock-up.
Many thanks to the ladies of LIM for featuring my last card in their ShowCASe.
I've got a busy week ahead with two days of refresher exams at work so gotta get my head in my books now.

ReplyDeletePineapple Retro looks rather fab, I'd be transported back to my childhood too, I reckon, and want to buy loads. I'm loving all that kitsch 70s homeware at the moment.
I think it's nice to get away for a bit, even if the weather is crap - I am feeling the need for a change of scene too.
Good luck with those pesky exams - no cheating, Fiona! xxxxxx
He looks so relaxed and laid back bless him. Brilliant image and a fabby card.

I'm not usually a fan of cutesy images either Fiona but I do like this little chap and fishing is definitely a sport (so they tell me!) Congratulations on your well-deserved LiM showcase last week and good luck with the exams. Vicky x
