The Ace of Hearts

I've got the misog's today. Outside it's grey, wet and windy so after a morning of fruitless chazzing (five shops failed to produce any delights!)  I thought I'd cheer myself up with a spot of crafting.  Here is a card for CASology's challenge GAMES, which took no time at all once the idea came to me.

All cardstock came from my stash of scraps and the hearts were punched and die cut.  The letter A was stamped with an ancient alphabet set and the sentiment was computer generated.  I'm also linking this to Lakota's Ta Dah Tuesday,
and Addicted to CAS where the theme is HEARTS.

I'm not going to ramble on 'cos I feel that my posts are rather boring at the mo'.  I'm going out to a gig tonight so hopefully a bit of bopping around The Rising Sun will cheer me up. Unfortunately I don't think they'll be playing this tho'.  (have you heard Joe Brown's version on the ukelele ?)

  1. Joe Brown does Motorhead? That's something I must search out on You Tube!
Love that card. Too bad about the chazzas, January's usually lean month for donations, I think. I managed to get something good/odd/interesting and spotted a gorgeous pair of shoes for Liz, sadly too small for my huge hooves so not a wasted journey.
    Enjoy the gig! xxx

  3. No idea what misog (blue?) or chazzing (shopping?) means - isn't it wonderful that we get to learn from each other! Love your very CAS card - perfect for this week's cue card. Thanks so much for playing the game with us at CASology this week!

  6. Aw, you need to rush out and buy some daffodils. They are a constant reminder that spring is on the way. Your card is fab! x

  9. Excellent card, Fiona!
Don't be in a mard (as we say in Shefield)! Despite the crappy weather and the rubbish chazzas, you have a gig to go to and you posted Motorhead - there's nothing boring about that, love! xxxxx

  10. I like it! And what I like even more is that I don't even need to punch any shapes out. I've been wondering what to do with a load of mini packets of cards I got in Christmas crackers - and now I know. Valentines cards. Thanks!

  14. Fiona just thought I would act as your interpreter, Misog's refers to feeling miserable ana Chazzing refers to shopping/looking in the Charity shops.

  16. Good 'ole Motorhead and you can't beat 'the ace of spades', have to say that Joe Brown's version won't have me running to YouTube to find it :D!

I love your card, what a great idea and I still cannot imagine how you keep them so clean and slick looking!

Thanks for looking in the chazza's for me and yes you're right I'm looking for a hard back version not huge but bigger than the pocket size I'm already using....hens teeth they are!! Sorry your searches were fruitless, maybe it'll be better pickings when everyone starts spring cleaning...that won't be me of course!

Your posts are NEVER boring, I think you just had one of those days, enjoy the rest of your hols. xxx
