So what could we do to escape the downpours, except visit an abundance of chazza shops?? Disappointingly I didn't find anything that took my fancy, but just as I predicted, as we were about to head home the sun put in an appearance, so we raced to the sea front and out came the camera quick smart.
I would have loved to be dressed in a fetching summer outfit, but to quote Vix it was bastard freezing (and you know me and the cold!) hence I'm all wrapped up in a cashmere scarf.
The cat was pleased to see me on my return and welcomed me home in a very vocal way by chucking up the most putrid furball ever witnessed. I dread to think how she'll top that when I go on a week's holiday next month!
Onto crafty matters now, I've been back in my craft room today and knocked up this card which I'm linking to the challenges below.

Who's watching Eurovision tonight then ?? Nah, me neither.
Remember this one from 1977 ?
A bloomin' great card! So glad you joined in on the fun at CASology this week!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love all that texture on the cardstock. Thanks so much for playing along at ATCAS xx
ReplyDeleteI love the varying shades of green on your BLOOM card...perfect for the cue this week! Thanks for playing along at CASology this week!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a good time despite the crap weather. I keep thinking spring will properly arrive soon, but it's proving quite evasive this year. Shame about the chazzas - I was in Dorset this week, too, and only managed to pick up a couple of books on my brief chazzing foray.
ReplyDeleteLovely card. I remember that song from 1977 - I think I may even have bought the single at the time. I've probably still got it somewhere (I'm guessing packed away in the garage) but have no record player to play those things on any more.
ReplyDeleteLove that you made a bloom card using only green and white - so fresh. And refreshing! Thanks so much for playing along with us at CASology this week!
ReplyDeleteyour card is beautiful, Fiona! so crisp and clean... thanks so much for playing along with CASology and for sharing all those wonderful pictures!
ReplyDeleteEurovision used to be must watch viewing round here - we've gone off it a bit in the last few years...don't have the stamina (or the capacity to drink enough wine to make it funny\dull the senses) anymore. Glad you had a nice little stay at the seaside and that the sun put his hat on for some of it.
ReplyDeleteHi Fiona, Gorgeous card, lime green, black and white always a winner in my book. Fab stamp too! Gay x
ReplyDeleteBastard freezing indeed, it's been horrible here and it's always colder on the coast! You still look gorgeous in your waterproofs and the sky looks lovely!
ReplyDeleteWhat a welcome home, wonder what puss has got planned for her next trick!
Love your card. xxx
This is so pretty - Love the tones of green, and especially that textured paper - fabulous. Thanks for joining in at Addicted to CAS!
ReplyDeleteThat shot of the gull flying over the tiled roof is stunning. And so are you and your friend, I bet you had a ball despite the weather!
ReplyDeleteLovely card too, and yes, I did watch Eurovision, though it's not as bonkers as it used to be. I do indeed remember that song. I have been singing Vicky Leandros' Apres Toi from 1972, much to my kids' disgust, but they quite like Puppet on a String! xxxxx
Fiona, what a LOVELY card! I love the design & the stamping on design paper. Beautifully done!
ReplyDeleteYour blog header is an eye-catcher.
I love your story-telling.
I'm with you on the outfit! I'm always cold so give me a waterproof wind proof coat over something perhaps more foxy any day! Your card is lovely Fiona! xx
ReplyDeleteThis is a fabulous card design Fiona - love the DP you chose to stamp on and the image is perfect. Looks like you had a great weekend rain or no rain! Now look what you've done with L'oiseau et l'enfant! I'll be singing it all day now, adding a few of my own gratuitous Eurovision boom diddy booms for good measure! Vicky x
ReplyDeleteAn English holiday by the sea means only one thing. Rain. And plenty of it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame re the chazzas. It's a funny thing how some towns are better than others in that respect.
I had a friend's cat to stay a while ago. Fur balls were a big feature that week. x
