After a trip the The Glitter Pot sale on Friday (very disappointing) I was fired with enthusiasm for card making. There were some lovely samples in the shop which provided inspiration, something I'm always lacking and I spent Friday evening in my craft room, sticking and inking.....(stinking?) Yesterday saw the return of the Less Is More challenge after the xmas break so I had a bash at this week's theme - Winter Blues.
Very rarely do I have a clear idea for my cards, they usually evolve and this one was no exception. I think I may have gone overboard with the foliage and the ring on top of the birdcage failed to stamp properly so had to be rescued with a bow. Nevertheless I am still pleased with it.
Twiggy Branches are from Inkylicious and the birdcage is by Hobbycraft. Also linking to Artful Times.
I'm off out now to look at a couple of gyms with the idea of joining if I can get a good deal. I've got an airline reunion 'do' next month and I don't want to look like a lard arse.
Have a good week folks.
Gorgeous blue creation Fiona and a lovely scenic look.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your gym hunt which made me smile.
Happy New Year from me too.

Gorgeous creation!
ReplyDeleteNot too much foliage at all, and the bow is lovely! Good for you, getting back into your card-making, and starting off the new year with a beauty.
ReplyDeleteLard arse? Hardly! Good luck with finding a good deal on the gym membership. Can we expect a post with you in full Let's get physical mode? Hope so! (Sweatband optional, legwarmers de rigeur!) xxxxx
The Glitter Pot is my local too. Haven't been for a while though as I took a break from crafting.
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE LOVE this... really is my kind of card. When I made my LIM I had a hanging birdcage or a butterfly to use with my 'setting'...went with the butterfly because of the paint drips, but your use of the cage here is absolutely perfect.
And you look a right skinny minnie...the single free intro session that gym's offer would be enough to lose the amount of lard you have I bet ;0)
Lovely card Fiona & well done for thinking to use the bow. Good luck with your hunt for a good gym deal.

In all the Christmas chaos I had to give up Fiona so I've only just had time to catch up with your fabulous blog and have spent a happy few moments chuckling my way through it! I love your atmospheric card and no, not too much foliage and you'd never know about the ring of the cage! Happy new year! Vicky x
