Here is my entry for this week's Less is More Challenge and this week the theme is Pastel Colours, not a favourite of mine..... so what to do?? I had a bit of a think and came up with this.
I embossed a border, scored on either side and stamped a Paula Pascual sentiment above it. My flower was inspired by several I've seen in blogland but I've never been able to successfully make one, and this was my third attempt today! I didn't find it particularly easy, when other people make it look so effortless. The first two were too deep and stood too proud of the card, this one is more shallow as I made the circle smaller. I tore it into a spiral and crumpled the card before assembling, and once glued in place I added a punched stamen and a mint coloured pearl. Then I cut two leaf shapes and did a bit of faux stitching with a souffle pen, shaped the leaves and stuck them behind the flower.
Apologies for the appalling photo's - although it is sunny today it is so windy outside there was no possibility of an outside shot and as the sentiment is small and stamped in lilac it is a bugger to photograph.
Once again, many thanks for all the kind words you left last week.
