What A Lot I've Got

Saturday saw the Sue's x 2, Eunice and I off to Farnborough for the annual Make It show.  We arrived about midday and shopped for an hour and a half when we paused for a spot of lunch.

Afterwards we grabbed our bags and got back to the crafty business of shopping.  It was a good show, very spacious and although there were plenty of shoppers there was still enough room to move around the stands freely.
There were some great demo's and this lady at Inkylicious displayed some stunning work, her stamps were excellent value so I had to buy quite a few!

Whoops!  I did come home with rather more than was on my list...but never mind hey?  As Eunice kept reminding me, I don't smoke or drink (...much!) so I can afford to treat myself now and again! But maybe I should have waited until after my car's MOT, which is due next week, before I had a spend up?

I did enjoy splashing out on this little lot and will get hours of enjoyment from it so I've decided that I'm not going to feel guilty.

Here's my latest creation using the Oriental Blossom set from Card-io which I'm entering in two challenges this week.

Less Is More-Colour Challenge

and CAS On Sunday-Happy Birthday

I must admit that this card has been unashamedly CASed from a beauty that I saw at the show. Mine comes nowhere near the standard of that one but I'm blaming time constraints this time.  I've been out today to an auction house to view lots as I'm after a small cupboard to house crockery and kitchen stuff.  I won't be able to make the auction on Wednesday due to the tedious business of work so I left a bid, lets hope it's successful.  After our rummaging at the auction house NM and I went for a mahoosive pub lunch in the pretty village of Warnham and a stroll afterwards which probably worked off about 1% of the calories consumed!

Back to work tomorrow, (pulls sad face) until next time then.

Hi Fi.
Have never beenn to Farnbougher, no where near me, but years ago I did go to a Make It at Bolton Reebox centre, it was fab.
I am off soon (March 16th) to Harrogate (very similar show) and I hope the Inkilicious Woman is there, she really is good isn't she, her demo's are great and i agree with you her stamps are fab and a great price.
Your card is simple and beautiful. Debbiex

ooo, the card is so pretty, so gentle!
I love stamps. There's so many fabulous designs out there! I don't use the few I have much at the moment, though, so don't allow myself to buy any! I have a friends who must have at least a thousand, she can't resist!

When you make cards as beautiful as yours Fiona it's almost a crime not to have a spend-up! Your CASEd card is fab and with its pretty spring feel and suggestion of a wreath. Good luck with the bid! Vicky x

I don't think you should feel the slightest bit guilty for spending a bit on your hobby, Fiona! Why shouldn't you? Stamp away and enjoy it!
It's such a pretty card, soft and delicate. Like me. Not!
Hope you win the cupboard. xxxxx

That show sounded fun, I was supposed to go last year but had no money. No different this year but I couldn't go because: a) didn't know it was on and b) I was in London!
Hope you win your little beauty

O, the new header is just from some mucking about with Photoscape!
I really need to pull out my stamps and have a play, it would be a great way to make a header. I don't think I'm terribly arty with them though, I tend to make a mess! XXX
